Beyond diversity and inclusion - What are we really talking about when we talk about diversity and inclusion?

Wednesday 08/07 | 11:45 - 12:30 | Barbican Centre

For some contexts diversity means more women. For others it can mean more people of colour, or more gay people. For many people, this term sits uncomfortably. And inclusion, what does that mean? Opposite of exclusion? OK, good start. But isn’t inclusion about more than just being inside, not outside. Isn’t it about being treated well, thought about when you’re not there? Jaz and Lucy have been working together and separately on a range of Diversity and Inclusion projects over the last three years. They’d like to share some of their findings and some top tips that you can bring into your organisations without feeling like you have to change the world.
