What does a responsible return to fundraising look like?

Monday 06/07 | 09:00 - 09:00 | Online

Join the Fundraising Regulator, the independent regulator of charitable fundraising in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, as we explore ‘What does a responsible return to fundraising look like?’. Nationwide lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on charitable fundraising. As the lockdown restrictions begin to ease and phased approaches start to be introduced for how and when certain ways of working may return across the UK, charities and their partners will be thinking about what it means for fundraising activities that have been paused or stopped. Going back to a complete ‘business as usual’ is unlikely to be acceptable or realistic – whether by charities, government, or the public. As some fundraising activities resume in the weeks and months ahead it is important that they are carried out sensitively, safely and responsibly. In this session, we will be: • Reflecting on how charities and fundraising agencies can return to fundraising in a responsible way; • Highlighting the key principles you should factor in as you plan to fundraise in this ‘new world’; and • Diving deeper into the fundraising standards that may apply. We will also be hosting a live Q&A session during the Fundraising Convention. Please look for the session details in the Conference app to join us and explore any other questions you may have about the fundraising standards and guidance.
