Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising Award

For an individual who has shaped the fundraising community and environment through their actions, leadership or intellect.

This award will be made to the recipient who, in the opinion of the (Chartered) Institute of Fundraising’s Trustee Board, has made a profound contribution to the fundraising community and environment, and whose conduct and character enjoy the esteem and admiration of colleagues in the community.

The Outstanding Contribution to Fundraising may be a single contribution (a significant new approach to fundraising or piece of academic research for example), by a number of specific contributions or through a lifetime of contribution to the sector.

A nomination must be made by any interested party, other than the nominee themselves.

A nomination should include:

  • A summary of the outstanding contribution that the nominee has made
  • An explanation as to why that contribution will have a lasting impact on the profession as a whole, beyond their own immediate environment

Non-attributable nominations will be reviewed and shortlisted by the Institute’s Nominations & Elections Committee and a recommendation made to the Board of Trustees for a final decision in June.

All nominations should be recieved by 5pm on 20 April 2020

Winner will be announced at the National Fundraising Awards on 6 July 2020.

We will contact the nominator should your noiminee be successful. Please do not discuss your nomination with the nominee.
